As you see here Microsoft has layed down the law and most of it conflicts with our production...if we cannot find a way to bypass it legally, then the whole project could be entirely corupted.

I see plenty of videos that have pure mods in them on youtube. You sure it is strictly enforced?

Alright, when this first came out the entire machinima community was in an uproar, Microsoft didn't explain theses rules nearly well enough so conclusions were jumped and everything was taken in the worst way. Thanks to the amazing machinima god Hugh Hancock (one of the originals) we now about the rules and their impact on us. He sat down with the guys who wrote it and clarified a lot of the problems.

Go there for his rather lengthy explanation... but the short version? As long as you don't make a show SO horrible, SO obscene and SO vulgar that Microsoft feels that it's existent makes their entire company (and other parts of their company, I.E. that game itself) look bad You'll be alright with whatever you make. If you don't do that you can pretty much do anything you want and they shouldn't come after you.

Now... as this relates to our show... I still beleive we are going to postpone/cancel this show as the filming of episode 1 has taken nearly two months which is just becoming extensively difficult to pull off. I think instead we will wait (while I work my new job and earn some dough) until Halo 3 comes out and make a new show in that game... With all the kickass machinima friendly components being included in halo 3 chances are we'll be able to make an even better show using it than trying to mod (and mostly fail at) using halo 2...

Also, becuase of his loss, I've decided to give Takuia a part in our halo 3 show... don't expect me to do the same for any of you (well... that is SOMEONE else who is also getting the same treatment, but I'm not going to say who it is... but you know who you are ^ ^)

Also I'm sorry I didn't get those mods to you. Things got so busy when school started. If you ever want to just have some fun with the mod that i've been working on and off I'll post it when I finish it. I posted a progress thing of it earlier http://forums.halomods.com/viewtopic.php?t=68292

Again I'm sorry I couldn't get the mods. I can get that green/normal sword in one map-mod tonight if you would still like it.

Its cool, I have to deal with school as well, and I thank you for your assistance. With the rules out of our hair, soon as PL2 is done and if dukes still willing to assist, things are looking smooth sailing.

Sounds like the project has been dropped. That's a downer )= what are you gonna do with the whole script of 3013? It would be a shame to throw it out.

When theres a will theres a way...HALO 3103 is not dead, even if duke no longer wants to help I will even make the atempt to make it my self. HALO 3103 will not go down without a fight!

Well if you ever do take up on it any time soon and need an extra man to "act" in a map just send me a message and we can use xlink. An extra 4 controllers is never a bad thing
